Weight 194.2
Today is going so much better than the last 3 or 4 in regards to hunger. Skipping yesterday helped until around 11PM. I got really hungry and fixed a protein shake. I slept pretty well after that and gained .4 but that's ok.
Today feels like it should. Virtually no hunger...very content. I injected 140 ui today. I think it will take until tomorrow to know if I need more or not. Just happy being in a good place now. The last couple of days I was in agony!
So, does that mean I have any reservations regarding HCG. Absolutely not! I'm 100% convinced that it's a dosing issue with me. Some people (like mamaclok on you tube) claim they could never get the dosage right on the injections and do the Sub-lingual instead. If today had not turned out the way is has, I would probably have tried switching to subl for the balance of this phase.
Getting pretty here in Sunny FL. Near 60 today and in the mid-70s for the remainder of the week and through the weekend.
I'm getting excited about the big game on Friday. I'm already getting emails from my UK fan friends, giving me all kinds of stats why UK will win this game. I'd type a really offensive, 2 word, 7 letter sentiment towards these friends that I barely tolerate. However, I might offend some readers in the process so I'll play nice and...just think it really hard.
Off to the driving range to smash some balls with visions of the wildcat logo on the back...right where I want to make contact with the ball.
Did I mention that I hate everything UK? It brings out the worst in me!

See the difference?
The top picture is the week before Thanksgiving. Notice the big ol' basketball I've got under the jersey. The bottom pic is from last Tuesday, Dec 21. The bball is gone! The jeans I have on barley snap. Today, I am wearing them and I can put my fist between my stomach and the jeans. I've got a belt on it's last loop holding them up.
Next...gotta work on the remaining "man-boobs"
The other guys in the picture are 3 of my 4 sons...Shaun (right), Jeremy (top center), and Kevin (bottom center).

Last night was TOUGH! You've heard of coyote ugly (most guys have), well, I was coyote hungry and my arm was looking pretty damn good!
I'm getting some info that my constant hunger, of late, is from too high of a dosage of HCG. All I know is that this second batch is different from the first one. I'm not due to skip a injection until Thursday, but, I am going to go ahead and skip today and see if that helps. If the hunger is better, then yes Virginia, there is too much HCG in the syringe.
Tomorrow, I am going to go back to 125ui and then adjust accordingly. If I skip today, I will be on injection 30 tomorrow. So, that leaves about 10 (max) more injections and 13 days (max) on the protocol left. If I don't get this settled, I can't see making it to the max because the hunger is too intense. Grammy1952 from the forum said she always has to adjust down mid-late round. So, I'm hoping to get through this for the experience of getting it right and knowing for sure it was dosage and not something else.
Part of the family went out last night to a friend's birthday party in Ocala, FL. That left me and my youngest son left to fend for ourselves. Off to Tarafuku we went for some more of that great sashimi.
When we got home, I watched my beloved UofL Cards beat Morgan State 104-74. Nice tune up game for the big game this coming Friday. Louisville plays Kentucky this Friday at 12:00. I don't hate much in this life but...I hate UK basketball. This year should be an exciting game and great match-up. I'm expecting an upset!
After the game, I played 3 of my sons in NCAA Football 2010 on the PS3. We were up until like 3:00 AM playing. I went 3-1 in our playoff event. I can never beat my son Jeremy in any PS3 game. I am like 0-300 against him. Our game last night....wasn't even close!
Down .4 lbs today, I'll take it! Less that 9lbs to go if my scale is correct. I have 2 scales. One is 3 lbs off from the other. I use the scale that shows the higher weight so I may actually be around 190.8. I should go by the YMCA where they have some good scales and see what that scale says. Yep, that's my mission today!
One thing I am noticing...I am drinking a ton of water and I believe that is helping to keep the weight coming down the last few days. Drink your water! Yes, it's a pain to go to the head every 45 minutes but, it helps so drink up!
PS....I got several messages regarding the hilarity of yesterday's post. Thanks for letting me know I made someone laugh! That makes my day! Everyone needs to laugh a lot more...including politicians, cops, and spouses!

Weight - 194.2
OK, I have to talk about this even though it's an unpleasant subject. I've been running this experiment with the scales every morning. I started this little experiment because of a little surprise I stumbled into one morning.
Every morning, I get up, go to the bathroom, strip and get on the scales. One morning, while weighing in and following the normal routine, I had the signal that a #2 was necessary. What's a number 2? It's a release from the rear of the body when using the toilet. That #2.
Well, I sat there for a few minutes and only non-solids escaped...in other words, I just sat there and farted a few times.
Afterward, for some reason, I got back on the scales. I was really shocked to see the weight went down another.2 lbs. I thought that was really strange because I didn't think gas would have anywhere near that kind of weight. I've done a healthy #2 before and not moved the scales that much.
I've tested this like over a half-dozen times and each time there is a drop of .2lbs. Some days, pre-fart, I will weigh myself like 10 times in a row. Each time is a consistent reading. Then, pass some gas and down another .2.
So, to achieve maximum loss readings, make sure you check you weight after all forms of internal elimination are completed! Those stalls or gains may actually be turned into a loss. Have you had your morning fart today?
This was really hard to write with a straight face but I swear it's all true!
Down another .6 this AM (after all internal elimination completed). I'll take it because yesterday was really hard.
My dosage from this new batch must be off. I ended with doing 175ui on the first batch so I continued that with the new batch. It's not working up to expectations. Today, I backed off to 150ui. I'm just too hungry compared to the old batch.
With this batch, I was a bit more careful to make sure I got every little drop out of the HCG's original container. I don't think I was as careful with the first mixture and may have left enough in the vial that made the mixture I was injecting less potent. So, we'll see if I feel better over the next two days.
With the old batch, I was not getting really hungry until late at night. With this batch, I've got a mild hunger all the time, even after eating. Same thing was happening when I first started at 125 ui and finally got it working at 175. I hope to get this one under control because I am struggling mentally with the confines of this program.
I went to Wally World yesterday to get their 96/4 ground beef. I cruised by their seafood section and they had a pack of mixed squid, shrimp, and octopus for like $8. It was pre-cooked and looked delicious. I imagined heating it up with some lemon juice, garlic, and Tony's creole. Got it home and divided it out in about 8, 112 gram servings.
The looks ended up being much better than the taste! The squid tasted really strange...kind of a fuzzy taste to it. Overall, it was pretty good protein and I tried something different. I froze the rest of it, debating whether I will pitch it or try it again. Pretty low quality!
I had one cheat yesterday...well, around 11PM last night. There was one piece of the home-made pizza left. I couldn't resist! I WAS HUNGRY! Still, I had the .6 (adjusted for gas) loss so not disappointed. FIX THE DOSAGE QUICK!
And, would someone please fix the damn weather here? Yesterday was like high of 49. Today, 50. At least it's sunny but this is one non-typical Florida winter. I would hate to have come down from the north and paid money to be here right now. Not fun!

December 25th
Kind of a bummer! Woke up to a .4 lb gain but...what a fantastic night I had last night.
I played golf during the day yesterday. My swing is coming back nicely! I don't know why it went south when I started losing this weight but I like the way I am hitting the ball now.
During the round, I was thinking about the horrible sushi experience from the night before. I decided I wanted to take the family out again and go to our most favorite sushi place, Tarafuku's in South Daytona. Fortunately, he was open and I ordered the same thing I ordered the night before. Except, there was about 9 pieces of tuna and 9 of yellowtail, and this huge pile of squid. Man o' man....was it good! The family really enjoyed their meal and felt a little sad that we had been going to the other place for awhile because it was 5 minutes closer. Lesson learned! Drive a little further, pay a little extra to get what you want! It's worth it...only at Tara's, it's only a little farther drive. You definitely don't pay extra!
I took a bottle of vodka with me to the course and had a couple of "on the rocks" while playing. It was the bottle left over from the bowl game and I didn't want it to go to waste. Had another before we went to eat and when I got home...felt like another. Just one of those evenings when a "cool buzz" was in order. The kids and the wife were in another part of the house watching an x-mas movie marathon. So, I cranked up the sound system (I've got a nice one...I love good music through a quality sound system...played very loud) and started off with Boz Skaggs Live - side 2.
I think I mentioned in the beginning of my blog that my one vice left over from my druggie days is to enjoy a narcotic, with a glass of wine or a drink of choice, at select times through the year (if I didn't mention it, now you know). Well, to make my buzz even cooler, I grabbed my stash and indulged in one and a half percodans. The percs, vodka, sushi, and music made the world a really great place...at least the world I was in.
So waking up to a .4 lb gain was ok, considering the amount of food and liquor I indulged in yesterday.
December 26th -
Wow! I am quite amazed at almost a 2lb loss.
There's a lot going on from a mental perspective in dealing with this diet during the holidays. The last few days, I have really been miserable. Not physically, in fact, I've feel fantastic physically. It's almost been a form of torture to do this diet during this time of year. There is a lot socially going on for me and there's lots of food and libations available.
I'm noticing that I've become extremely irritable in the last few days. I am hating another day of HCG protocol. This probably has to do with the amount of cheating I've been doing and the results from the cheating.
Which brings me back to my amazement this AM when I weighed in. In fact, I checked the scales 4 times to make sure it was correct.
Last night, my wife made her delicious home-made pizzas. I read on a lot of forums where some people crave carbs. I really haven't had that craving. In fact, I really don't have a lot of cravings of late...other than I would like more food and more variety. The hunger has been pretty well managed until late in the evening. I think I am doing too much physical activity that causes the bouts with late evening hunger. Anyways, back to the pizza. It was a beautiful day here in FL (mid-70s) and the golf courses were all closed. My community/street is on a golf course. Every year, a lot of us gather up and just go out and play anyways. The course knows we do it but no one minds because they aren't supplying us carts and we certainly don't tear the place up. A friend of mine has a golf cart I can ride in but I decided I wanted to walk along with my youngest son and another neighbor. We both have push carts to carry the bags.
My energy levels were off the chart! It was really a pretty easy go of it. Ate an apple when I got just a little hungry and drank a lot of water. I got home and started watching something on the TV and fell asleep. When I woke up around 5:30PM, I was REALLY hungry. I drank a lot of water and decided to hold off until close to 7:00 PM to eat. I ate my chicken (which was already prepared) and went back for my veggie. That's about when the wife started pulling pizzas out of the oven. I made up a batch of my asparagus with fresh garlic and balsamic and ate that, however, I really couldn't resist the pizza and had 3 slices. My wife makes a really thin crusted pizza, which I love....and lots of sauce. The pie I ate off of was a veggie pizza...with lots of fresh garlic. Yum yum!
So two things....1- I didn't feel so hot after I ate the pizza. It was like all that stuff that I hadn't eaten in awhile was a shock to my system. I totally felt that shock! Blah and yuck...Bl-uck! And ,2 - why did I do that when I just went up .4 lbs from the day before and all the little cheating here and there is keeping me from my goal? So, I was pissed at myself...mentally frustrated and so ready to be on to phase 3.
However, I woke up this AM to a little blessing and that's almost 2lbs dropped. So, today...I have a renewed energy towards getting through these last 10 days or so with minimal cheats. The good thing is....Christmas is over and so are all the events tied with it. Yeah, New Year's is coming but this one is going to be kind of quiet as my family will be out of town. I don't have much planned between Christmas and New Year's so I think it will be easier...more like the first two weeks on protocol. Wish me luck!
It got really cold over night. It might make it out of the 40s today but I don't think so. I haven't had any beef for about a week now. Think I'm going to grab a steak and make a couple of meals out of it. Yeah, that's the ticket...steak and NFL football. Today is going to be a lazy day!

VLCD 27/28 December 23/24, 2010
Weight - VLCD 27 - 197
Weight - VLCD 28 - 196.2
Well, it had to happen sooner or later. I couldn't resist that freaking bowl of Hershey's chocolate sitting there torturing me. I had about 10 pieces. Imagine how shocked I was that those 10 pieces added over 2lbs. Not freakin' worth it!
I had a bad experience in a Sushi restaurant last night. If you are ever in the Daytona Beach area, don't eat at Takama Sushi and Steak house. It's a trap for people the say they eat sushi but confine their palate to a California roll. I ordered my usual sashimi selection that I've been eating occasionally the last couple of weeks. They brought me out this little coffee saucer sized dish with like 3 pieces of tuna, 3 of yellowtail and 2 pieces of squid. That would have been ok if it was ONE order, but I ordered TWO orders of each and was told that little saucer of food I was looking at is two orders. How do you get 2 orders out of 3 pieces of fish, what, each order is 1.5 pieces??? Also, it was around $30 for this farce of a serving. I've eaten in some pretty expensive Sushi restaurants lately and they all had nice portions for the $. I had to laugh at this place. Only a sucker or someone trying sushi for the first time would have paid for that.
I sent it back and sat there and drooled while the rest of the family muched my favorite food. Needless to say, I will never go back to that rip-off joint again!
After that experience, we came home and I had my dinner at around 9PM. I was starving and I was in foul mood. I ate, got some coffee and water and retired early.
And...woke up today feeling much better! I really wanted to throw in the towel last night because I gained some weight and was totally sick of the diet. I really wanted some real food last night. Glad to sleep that one off. I'm not giving up and the weight gain is a set back that I created so no one to blame but me.
I may be having a reaction to the HCG shots. Here's some pics...
That's kind of nasty and a bit freaky! I'm going to be watching that pretty closely. I can't imagine that it's not HCG related.
My wife noticed it this AM just after I gave myself an injection.

VLCD 25/26 - December 21/22. 2010
Weight - 195.2 / 194.8
I have no voice this morning from all the hollering I did last night. I went to St. Pete last night to see a college bowl game. Took 3 of my 4 sons with me. My Cards were down by 14 in less than 5 minutes from the kickoff. When they finally got the ball down to the SMU (Southern Miss) 10, looking to score...they fumble. Needless to say, this was looking like a blow-out. And to top it off, before the kick-off, I was heckling these SMU ass-holes sitting across the aisle from me (they were being jerks so I gave it back at 'em). So now they are really pouring it on and it was starting to get under my skin. Louisville is a well-coached team and the poor start was very much out of character for them.
The team finally pulled it together and put on an exciting 2nd quarter to tie the game at the half. They gave us a thrilling 4th quarter and pulled out a win. I've never seen opposing fans run out of a stadium so quickly as the two ASS WIPES sitting across from me. They definitely didn't give me a chance to rub the victory (or their team's choke job) in. BTW....I almost never give opposing fans static during a game. Even if they come to our place, I'm always a classy fan. These guys had it coming and they got it good. I hope they had a flat on the way back to their hotel!
Speaking of hotels, I wish I would have had one. It's only 2.5 hours from Daytona to St. Pete. Didn't get in until 3am. I was one tired puppy! A day of rushing around to get ready, driving over, 6 hrs. of tailgating, 3.5 hours of the game, the after game celebration and the drive home....ugh! I had been up for like 21 hours. Not good on HCG!
I stayed on diet except about 1/2 liter of Kettle One Vodka over the course of the day and....I was really hungry around 10:30 PM and there was a lot of game left. So, I got a turkey leg. That was the best thing they had for me to eat and stay close to protocol. I did pack my normal protein in the form of 2 spinach salads. But, I could have eaten a horse at that point. I had about 1/2 the turkey leg and my son finished it up. Oh, I forgot, I had 2 bites of a soft pretzel. That was my 2 grissini sticks!
One thing I've noticed on HCG. I don't know if it's the HCG or the fact my system is so clean now but, I've noticed that I don't get much of a hang-over since I've been on the protocol. Wonder if anyone else notices that?
Mixed a new batch of HCG yesterday. I'm going to skip my injection today since I'm overdue to do such. As hungry as I was last night, I hope it isn't the new batch and was just a result of a really long, active day. I guess we'll know tomorrow.
I'm really pleased that the weight keeps coming off. Only about .4 per day for the last few days but...it's progress. Each partial lb. gets me that much closer to goal!
